I have a WD 2TB Hard drive. The Hard drive is working fine on macOS but doesn't show up in bootcamp windows 10. It gets connected but does not show up However Pen drives are working fine on Bootcamp. Show the Drive Icon on the Desktop. Open 'Settings' - Go to 'Finder Preferences'.

Hey, I'm having problems with my 1 TB WD My Book Essential Drive (External USB HDD). I've only had it for a couple months and now it's not showing up on my Macbook Pro. I checked Disk Utility to see if it shows up there and it doesn't. What happens is I plug in my drive to power and the drive starts spinning up.
Solution 1: Change Preferences Settings 
Launch Finder and choose Preferences .
Then tap on General tab and select External disks from Show these items on the desktop option.

Solution 2 : Change External DriveLaunch Finder and tap on Go -> Utility.
Then select Disk Utility and choose the external drive from the left sidebar.
Tap on Verify Disc to confirm the action.
It will find and correct some minor errors.
Solution 3: Check USB Hub 
If you connecting your external hard drive with Mac using USB Hub, check the USB hub for any damage or any loose connection.
Solution 4:-
Open Disk Utility. If your external USB drive drive faded/grayed out and unmounted?
Connect another external drive or Pen drive to the Mac. If still, the drive is not recognized?
Do the proper eject from the Finder window list.
Then, Restart your Mac and connect the external drive.
Solution 5:-
From the Finder menu, select 'Go to Finder'.
Type the external drive path what appears under Disk Utility. Ex: /Volumes/sleek-disk.

Shut down your Mac computer .
Unplug the power cord.
Unplug all USB connections.
Wait 30 seconds or 5 minutes then plug it back in.
Then turn on your MacBook Pro or iMac.
Plug the external drive only to the USB port. Open Finder and check your drive.
Solution 8:-
Install and run run Onyx (maintenance freeware) or
run Kext_Utility.app.v2.6.1 and restart your Mac machine.
Solution 9:-
Some times this issue might happened because of the unsupported drive format.
Install Microsoft NTFS for Mac by iBoysoft.
Restart your computer and check the issue.
If the above methods not working?
Install fresh OSX Yosemite.
Connect your segate external drive or WD passport to Windows computer. Delete the partition and connect back to MacBook Pro.

You may face the similar problem wherein your Mac is unable to recognize the external hard drive and to resolve it, you have to restart your Mac several times so that the external drive shows up.

You may face the similar problem wherein your Mac is unable to recognize the external hard drive and to resolve it, you have to restart your Mac several times so that the external drive shows up.
Generally, when you plug in your WD external drive, it is mounted on the desktop and if not, you can find it in Finder > Preferences > General tab and see all the connected devices. As you can see in the image below, make sure to select all the checkboxes under Show these items on the desktop.
The changes implemented take effect immediately; hence, you can now see the external WD drive on the desktop. If you do not select the Hard disks option, then Mac drive's and partitions icons remain hidden from the desktop; this could be a reason why you're unable to access the drive.
The cables might be faulty
One of the reasons why your Mac cannot read WD external drive could be due to the loose connections. Make sure that enough power is being delivered to the drive and if the problem still persists, try connecting the drive with another cable. Also, check the flash drive port of the Mac to ensure that's not what's causing the issue. If it does, plug in the WD external drive using another port.
Try connecting the external drive to another Mac and see if you can access the drive.

Access the drive through Disk Utility
The inaccessibility issue could be due to the corrupt drive. You can repair the corrupt drive using Disk Utility's First Aid feature and make it accessible.
